The Elder Gods, and Great Old Ones, are the gods that have been around since before the dawn of time, who are eternal. They are described in detail in the Necronomicon by Abdul Alhazred, the Cthulhu Mythos by H. P. Lovecraft, and the PreScriptures by Jehovah 1, as psychically transmitted to J. R. "Bob" Dobbs in 1953. There are many Elder Gods, including Jehovah 1, Cthulhu, Nyarlathotep, and Eris Discordia, among others.
Various cults have sprung up to worship each of the Elder Gods. For instance, "Bob" Dobbs founded the Church of the SubGenius to worship Jehovah 1, the prairie squid brainwashed the Pastafarians into worshiping Cthulhu, and people like Robert Anton Wilson and the authors of the Principia Discordia convinced people to worship Eris Discordia. Nyarlathotep's various incarnations in human form are believed to have been among the founders of all of these cults.
Stephan Colbert has mentioned the Elder Gods, and even told of a pact he had made with them on his first episode hosting The Late Show on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. This included the cryptic phrase associated with Prophet of "Bob" Binky the WonderSkull, "scoop up the fun."
The Elder Gods have many agents, called Watchers, the most notable Watchers being the infamous Men in Black who secretly control world governments through the New World Order, as well as the Advanced Supersonic Nazi Hell Creatures from Beneath the Hollow Earth.
"Yog-Sothoth knows the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the key 'and guardian of the gate. Past, present, future, all are one in Yog-Sothoth. He knows where the Old Ones broke through of old, and where They shall break through again. He knows where They have trod earth's fields, and where They still tread them, and why no one can behold Them as They tread." -The Dunwich Horror by HP LovecraftBorn of the Nameless Mist, he is the progenitor of Cthulhu, Hastur the Unspeakable and the ancestor of the Voormi. And Father of "The Watchers:"
The Elder Gods are all knowing all powerful gods of the cosmos intelle-gentrifying all the lost soul of the galaxy to be minions in their soul brigades. Their powers in general are dark, wicked, malevolent, understanding, compassionate, deserving, mythical and mysterious. They are the first beings in the universe to gain sentient cognisciousness (consciousness and cognition) and turned evil after they discovered omniscience' They command lesser gods such as NHGH to infect more hosts. Urging them to be normal, work-a-day, zombies.
Yog-Sothoth (A'ANO'NIN) Guardian of the 26th tunnel of the Tree of Death, in Grant's teaching. "The Lord of the Gates of Matter". Corresponds, in the Tarot, to The Devil's atu. Its magic, indicated by the letter Ayin, is the "evil eye" or Eye of Set ("The Diamond in the Night"). Its disease is priapism.
But fear not for The Church of the SubGenius COMMANDS you TO USE THE CONSPIRACY, because NHGH will never cease to exist! His backwards-in-time birth will never come!! That's the cruel trick that the Elder Gods saw coming. Burning hidden DNA strands in the back of our skulls, changing our chromosomes forever, edging out those pathetic normals in a race to armageddon. Where they'll be waiting to burst forth in an ooey-gooey masochistic rampage of frothing foaming destruction!
But what are these pink boys worshiping? Is it God? Or is it Science. Maybe its understanding of a black ooze tar candy so advanced, so dark, so sticky and eerie that one could say that its both alive and dead. Tying our whole existence in knots. Drifting us forth into the cosmos of infinity.
But killing it is impossible and murdering yourself would be very difficult you would just end up in the hospital again. Anyways you should try killing someone for the thrill it might be worth it if you get away with it. Trusting the Elder Gods is a pink thing to do. Maybe its better to enslave and control for them through human resources and cryogenicly frozen advertising executives. ~"NOBODY" Minister in training
Playing with reality is simple when you have an arm as big as yog-sothoth's arms. It could change or destroy buildings and walls. Doors and fountains. Rebuilding them to the Elder God's will. It could change the world.
If you got enough money to move around there shouldn't be any issues. But who decides what's "enough money."~The scriptures
"BOB" recoils in horror as he checks out the snarling hotties trapped in a hypernhgh window. can't save um can't get to em can marry 'em just gonna have to keep fuck8in 'em until you see the sexy in scientific discoveries forbidden to most bozos ruining the Earrf. -First hand account of a lovecraftian orgy
BUTT FUCK EM IF THEY CANT TAKE A JOKE
Hastur, known more commonly as "Hastur the Unspeakable," is a "Great Old One." Although the being is most famously associated with Lovecraft, it is only mentioned in one of his stories, “The Whisperer in Darkness.” Originally mentioned in a work of Ambrose Bierce, whose short story "Haïta the Shepherd" describes Hastur as a god of shepherds. Hastur is the name of a city in the Robert W. Chambers short stories “The Yellow Sign” and “The Repairer of Reputations” which appeared in his short story collection The King in Yellow.
It is unclear if Hastur is a person, a place, an object (such as the Yellow Sign), or a deity (this ambiguity is recurrent in Lovecraft's descriptions of the mythic entities).Often associated with hellish and forbidden mysterious horrors (among other hideous things) which no sane mortal should know. Sometimes represented as the talisman. The Nameless Yellow Sign handed down from the accursed cult of Hastur—from primordial Carcosa, whereof the volume treats...
"...and was drawn back through nameless aeons and inconceivable dimensions to worlds of elder, outer entity at which the crazed author of the Necronomicon had only guessed in the vaguest way.... There is a whole secret cult of evil men (a man of your mystical erudition will understand me when I link them with Hastur and the Yellow Sign) devoted to the purpose of tracking them down and injuring them on behalf of the monstrous powers from other dimensions." —H. P. Lovecraft, "The Whisperer in Darkness"
Dagon is a deity who presides over the Deep Ones, an amphibious humanoid race indigenous to Earth's oceans. He is first introduced in Lovecraft's short story "Dagon", and is mentioned extensively throughout time. Also known as Father Dagon, he is a Great Old One and the consort of Mother Hydra most likely based on Dagon, the ancient Mesopotamian deity of the same name, who was a god of fish, fishing and fertility..
Dagon is depicted as a gigantic Deep One (around 30 stories tall). He and his consort have more or less been established as the official rulers of the Deep Ones, though Mother Hydra seems to gain a slightly larger following.
Shub-Niggurath (S'Ub NHGHWRAATH)Edit
Shub-Niggurath (The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young) is an Outer/Elder God. Shub-Niggurath is a SubGenius deity, she is never actually described, but is frequently mentioned or called upon in incantations by many of her cultists.
Shub-Niggurath is an Outer God in the pantheon. She is a perverse fertility deity, said to appear as an enormous cloudy mass which extrudes black tentacles, slime-dripping mouths, and short, writhing goat legs. Small creatures are continually spat forth by the monstrosity, which are either reconsumed into the miasmatic form or escape to some monstrous life elsewhere.
Shub-Niggurath is believed to have mated with Hastur to produce the beings Ithaqua, Zhar and Lloigor, and J'Zahar. Hastur may also be the father of her "Thousand Young" or "Dark Young", though there is a good chance that they were spawned by fission. She may possibly have mated with Yog-Sothoth to produce Nug and Yeb (though their father is more likely Hastur), and even Yig to produce Byatis (which is debatable since some believe her to be Yig's mother, though he may be the offspring of Mappo no Ryûjin).
The Dark Young of Shub-Niggurath are horrifying, pitch-black monstrosities, seemingly made of ropy tentacles. They stand as tall as a tree (perhaps between twelve and twenty feet tall) on a pair of stumpy, hoofed legs. A mass of tentacles protrudes from their trunks where a head would normally be, and puckered maws, dripping green goo, cover their flanks. The monsters roughly resemble trees in silhouette — the trunks being the short legs and the tops of the trees represented by the ropy, branching bodies. A congregation of these abominations smells like an open grave. They usually dwell in woodlands wherever Shub-Niggurath's cult is active.
Sometimes confused with Cronus (Greek Titan), Kronos, Destroyer of the Universe, Atomos (Final Fantasy), or just JHVH-1. Azathoth is a deity in the Cthulhu Mythos and Subenii pantheon. It is first mentioned in the Dream Cycle stories of writer H. P. Lovecraft and other authors. He is the ruler of the Outer Gods. Is the universe of the transcendental Yactizima. A home for "fallen angels" of sorts. Blessed cursed ones, born to stare into the very boring void & blackness of space. Strictly speaking, Azathoth is a creator deity "who made the gods and thereafter rested." In Dunsany's conception, MANA-YOOD-SUSHAI sleeps eternally, lulled by the music of a lesser deity who must drum forever, "for if he cease for an instant then MANA-YOOD-SUSHAI will start awake, and there will be worlds nor gods no more." This oblivious creator god accompanied by supernatural musicians is a clear prototype for Azathoth, Price argues.
[O]utside the ordered universe [is] that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.
the mindless entity Azathoth, which rules all time and space from a curiously environed black throne at the centre of Chaos."He later fears finding himself "in the spiral black vortices of that ultimate void of Chaos wherein reigns the mindless daemon-sultan Azathoth".
Many other Mythos writers have referred to Azathoth in their stories. August Derleth, in his novel The Lurker on the Threshold, depicts the entity as a leader in a cosmic upheaval akin to Lucifer's rebellion in the Bible. In a passage attributed to the Necronomicon of Abdul Alhazred, Derleth writes:
"(T)hose daring to oppose the Elder Gods who ruled from Betelgueze, the Great Old Ones who fought against the Elder Gods...were instructed by Azathoth, who is the blind idiot god, and by Yog-Sothoth...."
In another passage, Derleth quotes a prophecy:
"(Y)e blind idiot, ye noxious Azathoth shal arise from ye middle of ye World where all is Chaos & Destruction where He hath bubbl'd and blasphem'd at Ye centre which is of All Things, which is to say Infinity...."
X-ists w/ help from the great and powerful JHVH-1 seemed to have created the beginning of the Universe. The Con struggled to find a time code, which for Chronos the god of time was fairly simple. The Elder gods were just there as the beginning of infinity started and the X-ist and JHVH-1 had no problems setting all things in motion. They are the infinity in which we exist. We find existence in perpetuity throughout their infinitum. We are the energy flowing through their endless veins. Struggle to free yourself and you become a laceration on world. Because you are it and it is you. AND you either struggle to define yourself as a part of it permanently or reject it instinctively. Either way that was its purpose. To naively exist, as a carrier of souls.

"There, in the grey beginning of Earth, the formless mass that was Ubbo-Sathla reposed amid the slime and the vapors. Headless, without organs or members, it sloughed from its oozy sides, in a slow, ceaseless wave, the amoebic forms that were the archetypes of earthly life. Horrible it was, if there had been aught to apprehend the horror; and loathsome, if there had been any to feel loathing. About it, prone or tilted in the mire, there lay the mighty tablets of star-quarried stone that were writ with the inconceivable wisdom of the pre-mundane gods. —Clark Ashton Smith, Ubbo-Sathla"
Ubbo-Sathla ("The Unbegotten Source", "The Demiurge") is described as a huge protoplasmic mass resting in a grotto deep beneath the frozen earth. The being is of a monstrous fecundity, spontaneously generating primordial single-celled organisms that pour unceasingly from its shapeless form. It guards a set of stone tablets believed to contain the knowledge of the Elder Gods.
Ubbo-Sathla is said to have spawned the prototypes of all forms of life on Earth; though whatever its pseudopods touch is forever devoid of life. Ubbo-Sathla is destined to someday reabsorb all living things on Earth.
Ubbo-Sathla dwells in gray-litten Y'qaa. Writhing in Mount Voormithadreth and maybe has spawned another of its residents, the being Abhoth, whose form and nature is very similar. This similarity has led some writers to speculate that Ubbo-Sathla and Abhoth are the same entity viewed at different epochs under different names. The tablets that Ubbo-Sathla guards have been oft sought by sorcerers, though no sorcerer has yet succeeded in acquiring them.
Nodens is one of the Elder Gods and appears as an elderly, human male with white hair—gray-bearded and hoary yet still vital and strong. He often rides in a chariot formed from a huge seashell pulled by some great beasts of legend. Nodens is served by the Nightgaunts.
As a hunter, he will chase down evil creatures in the Dreamlands, such as the Shantaks. He prefers to hunt the servants of the Great Old Ones or Nyarlathotep because they are usually the most intelligent and offer the best sport, but not necessarily because he wants to help humans being attacked by them. He has, however, been known to deliberately help humans, such as when he offers advice to assist Randolph Carter against Nyarlathotep in The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath: "Out of the void S'ngac the violet gas had pointed the way, and archaic Nodens was bellowing his guidance from unhinted deeps," later followed by "And hoary Nodens raised a howl of triumph when Nyarlathotep, close on his quarry, stopped baffled by a glare that seared his formless hunting-horrors to grey dust."
Nodens is a deity referred to in The Strange High House in the Mist and The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath. He is the lord and master of the night-gaunts, a race of strange flying creatures.
Hypnos is the Greek god of sleep. It is speculated that he is an Elder God, as he appears in the story "Hypnos". He appears as a youthful man Hypnos lovecraft by verreaux
Drawn by verreaux with a bearded face, "immense, sunken and widely luminous eyes", and a crown of poppies.
"young with the youth that is outside time, and with beauteous bearded face, curved, smiling lips, Olympian brow, and dense locks waving and poppy-crowned." -H.P. Lovecraft, Hypnos"
The greek god Hypnos is the main inspiration for this page followed by the inspiration for the Elder god Hypnos. Which are virtually Un-Identical.
God of sleep and strictly speaking an omnipresent danger in the universe. Could be seen within the X-ists traveling from Earth across space and back to planet X. Its assumed that it could have been vitally transplanted into its God's victims by yawning.
Humans still don't understand that sleep is a virus. And that it takes over its victims at night. The Average human zombie is unaware of the number of hours wasted to sleep only until their last moments of life. They are constantly reprimanded for something that can't control at such advanced stages of "sleep."
The symptoms of the sleep virus are: Tiredness, a feeling of comfort when closing your eyes, losing consciousness, forced working habits and a military understanding of time. Some other side effects may include: Drowsiness, wanting to lie in a bed, laying down, tired eyes, mumbled / slurred speech, total thought malfunction, susceptibility to suggestion, a nuanced understanding of implanted dreams, a collective-unconsciousness, a unifying psychic network password
Sleep, a virus created in a an alien lab of Hypnos was once thought to be the normal behavior pattern for humans. On the contrary earliest humans never slept. They used 100% of their time on leisure existing without medications or toxic environments. Sub-genii are immune to the sleep virus. "BOB" cured them and cursed them with something far stronger* and way worse. Forgoing sleep for meditation and video games. Constantly rising from meditation to place 1st in 8 rounds of Halo before returning to another few hours of motionless meditations, psychic visions, and oozegasms, .
Hypnos has created many diseases that plague the reality of humans. The idea of food came to him one day and he decided to make a bacterial culture that would infest the intestines of humans to digest FOOD for them (how typically lazy) But instead brought starvation to millions accidentally. He also created poverty. He saw that control and power could be monetized and created money. Accidentally creating world wide ENGROSSING PATRONIZING OF THE Z-IST "B0B"S.
Hypnos is still around beating the shit out of hookers with an ugly stick and enchanting them with his pick up artist skills. He typically invokes a human form or vessel to use as a magician or fortune teller or gypsy or hypnotists w/ big mustaches.
His illusions are as powerful as his Elder God diseases. They are immorally powerful and live forever. They reside in a lower and higher space in-between our reality. Strictly speaking they can hear you but not see you. Because they have no eyes. They are Dreams. Dreams are his minions and the most powerful of which are Nightmares and Boogy Monsters. Basically the transcendental void's response to sleep virus is to make your mind lock onto and idea and blast it until it dies. Either you kill it or it is an immortal idea. Hanging around to plague someone like a Japanese mushihi spirit until you fulfill your destiny in an alternate time tunnel from living space Jesus. But maybe that's kismet.
Another chronic malediction of the god hypnos was his spread of the undersides of desire for the destruction of weis or spirit. Failing to meet the "average everyday expectations of one's self image," constantly degrades and deranges the populations into denigrated stress riddled phobic zombies. Victims can't usually make eye contact for fear of spreading their secret shame through the eyes. Dark eyes are empowered with hypnosis and one wouldn't want to accidentally convert a stoic skeptic. If pushed to do something about it they might snap and scream at you.
Temporary delusional psychotic episodes are a symptom of another human malady called LAUGHTER. Usually infecting the mind and the nervous system. Causing common symptoms such as laughing fits for no reason, high consumption of goods and entertainment, and a sudden lack of awareness. It is contagious like yawning, however yawning is not a true disease and is only a symptom of brain peristalsis. The contagious nature of temporary delusional episodic repetitious psychosis is that they are onset by terrible television. Usually around feeding time later in the evening. People will forget whole hours watching programming DESIGNED to confuse viewers. Shows like the Big Bang Theory and Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia have psychic programing directly input into the programing to induce reactions in the viewership. These audiences are closely monitored by Nielsen groups and psychotropic satellites. The most popular of which is a form of hypnosis that combines aggression and eating while constantly laughing.
Lies and Deceit are not the main focus of Hypnos. If it had a purpose it would mostly be, causing pain, simply to cause pain. It has no morality. One would say it is breaking down the universe. The universe is feeding on itself. Decomposing the energy of world through violent action. So it is completely rational & still wholly irrational. Its influence is spread through its exercise of disease, pain, plagues etc... Chaos. Hypnos created the actual and very real diseases of FEAR, UNKNOWING, JUSTIFICATION OF BLAME, SELF IMPORTANCE OF NARCISSISTS, and many more. These are the diseases of the mind and the self that will corrupt a soul to the core (without proper soul venting). Mental manifestations of maledictions, playing out in a physical way in the natural world. It is not something that tangibly evil. It is the manifestations of critical judgement errors. Leaving people the victims of one's own actions.
Hypnos was also the god who invented libations and other potent beverages. Clearly a means to and end of humanity when you ponder it. With human kind straight shnockered they would have no problems putting them to sleep like sick animals. Human beings being virtually unaware of any deity of any sort even when they were standing right next to them.
Sub-genii who have been cured of the viri of HYPNOS often report meditating for 4-5 hours and sometimes never losing consciousness for many days, only to eventually return to their dark ways. But in that time they notice that they only engage in meditative rest when they want to not when they are subconsciously willed to do so, by the rotation of the Earth.
"Let me break it down for you and set the record straight. The sun setting activates these parasite virus that infected people 7500000 years ago. They control thought receptors in your mind and abuse substances that are created in sub neural cortex nodes like DMT bringing their spirit colonies from the dream world to the real one." -Rev Buck Naked
"It couldn't be helped. It was a matter of time. -Ivan Stang Couldn't happen to a nicer fella. -Philo"
"Sleep and Dreams are a fucking awful travesty that I can't believe still exist today. And if you put me in your fucking book I'll sue." - Louie CH 2004

"But what frightened me most was that flaming column, spouting volcanically from depths profound and inconceivable; casting no shadows as a healthy flame should, and coating the nitrous stone above with a nasty, venomous verdigris. For in all that seething combustion no warmth lay, but only the clamminess of death and corruption."
Tulzscha (The Green Flame) Tulzscha appears as a blazing green ball of flame, dancing with its Lesser Outer Gods at the court of Azathoth. Called to our world, it assumes a gaseous form, penetrates the planet to the core, then erupts from below as a pillar of flame. It cannot move from where it emerges.
Could be the green lantern or another eternal flame but really its just the madness invoked by satanists. Which explains why it doesn't show up in later mythos. Could be the importances of one group over another or strictly building a creating myth around Tulzscha and its green flames. Either way it deems itself a protector spirit and a functional alcoholic.
While most people will whine and bitch about the moaning of cats and pizza drivers causing traffic... There are a select few who know the truth about society. That its bleak, boring, drab, and fundamentally non functional and most importantly fictional. There is no totally whole society to dictate their message too. They mostly implore smaller companies to define their megalithic oil incursions as their own exterior country and not the one they are in. -Shell Oil CEO
The green flame is a ritualistic construct based in a Lovecraftian Eldritch/Dietrich centered universe starting with the first Elder Gods and that were able to create a "Ioagunthasoi" or "soul of the fires" Basically souls would burn the magical energies of the fires birthing more horrors for thousands of years to come. They would act as portals/gates that were sentient but not alive. Like if your elevator knew where to take you. There are references to JK Rowling's work Harry Potter that resemble the magical properties of the green flame.
The green flame is not a psychic entity, and more of a physical one. Existing as we do in higher dimensions. Its appearance in the 3rd dimension is that of a Green Spectral flame either on an alter / pylon. Or floating through the air as a ball of green glowing energy. See: Pixies, Orbs, Ball lightning
The burning bush mentioned in the bible could be the earliest recording of Tulzscha. With it speaking to Moses:
☀Now Möšè מֹשֶׁה kept the flock of Yi±rô יִתרוֹ father in law, the priest of Miðyän מִדיָן: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים, [even] to Çörëv חֹרֵב.
And the angel of Yähwè יָהוֶה appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush [was] not consumed.
And Möšè מֹשֶׁה said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
And when Yähwè יָהוֶה saw that he turned aside to see, ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Möšè מֹשֶׁה, Möšè מֹשֶׁה. And he said, Here [am] I.
And he said Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest [is] holy ground.
Moreover he said, I [am] the ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים of thy father, 1 the´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים of ´Avrähäm אַברָהָם, the ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים of Yixçäk יִצחָק, the ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים of Ya`áköv יַעֲקֹב. And Möšè מֹשֶׁה hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים.
And Yähwè יָהוֶה said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which [are] in Mixrayim מִצרַיִם, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Mixrîm מִצרִים, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Cæna`ánîm כְּנַעֲנִים, and the Çittîmחִתִּים, and the ´Émörîm אֱמֹרִים, and the Pærizzîm פְּרִזִּים, and the Çiwwîm חִוִּ and the Yævûsîm יְבוּסִים.Gods and Goddess of water and energy spirits refining the text of this page to within a millionth of a plausibility unit. Great Old OnesEdit
Cthulhu (ZTHOOD' aLU) EditCthulhu is a OUTER GOD deity. (DECEASED) (turns out he was very very very old) Very popular in modern culture. He is described as an ancient entity of immense power that manipulates the minds of humans. Also known as ogopogo. He first appears in H.P. Lovecraft's "The Call of Cthulhu", but remains a recurring presence and force throughout the cosmos. Lovecraft transcribed the pronunciation of Cthulhu as Khlûl'-hloo. But Lovecraft gave several differing pronunciations on different occasions. According to Lovecraft, this is merely the closest that the human vocal apparatus can come to reproducing the syllables of an alien language.
"They were not composed altogether of flesh and blood. They had shape [...] but that shape was not made of matter. When the stars were right, They could plunge from world to world through the sky; but when the stars were wrong, They could not live. But although They no longer lived, They would never really die. They all lay in stone houses in Their great city of R'lyeh, preserved by the spells of mighty Cthulhu for a glorious resurrection when the stars and the earth might once more be ready for Them." - Castro on the nature of the Old Ones
The cult is noted for chanting its horrid phrase or ritual:
"Ph'nglui mglw'nafh C'thulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn,"
which translates as
"In his house at R'lyeh dead C'thulhu waits dreaming."
This is often shortened to "C'thulhu fhtagn," which might possibly mean "C'thulhu waits," "C'thulhu dreams," or "C'thulhu waits dreaming."
